Hi guys, I'll try and make this as short and to the point as possible. A few weeks ago I started having super slow speeds over WiFi on every wireless device I have. I'm supposed to be on a 75mb connection and I've never had any problems retaining that speed, but since just after Christmas I am getting a severely spiked connection with speeds between 2mb and 5mb! At first I thought it was our old Home Hub 3 dying, but even after getting a Home Hub 5 I'm still having the same problem! If I reset the router the speed will go back up to 70-75, but after a few minutes to an hour it's back down between 2-5! Any idea what the problem could be or is it better to phone BT and have an engineer sent out to check my line?

Thanks.

Wired connection is fine and actually reads at 78mbps. I've tried switching wireless channels and that makes it even worse so I stay on "Smart Channel" that automatically adjusts to the least used wireless channel.

If it's fine via wired, then it's nothing to do with the line it's either a problem with the configuration of the WiFi (e.g. channel etc) or something else interfering?

What other channels have you been trying? Usually 1,6,11 are the best ones to try. Also, how many WiFi devices are having the issue? If it's just the one it could be client related (e.g. drivers)

I tried every channel (there is 11), but to no avail. Every wifi device seems affected. iPhone, Galaxy S5, 3x Laptops, Xbox One, PS4, Smart T.V...

Bloody annoying >.<

Did you get a firmware update over the holiday period?
If you look at the other local wireless signals, how many other BT ones are there? Have there been a recent influx of new BT users? Might have enough that there's simply not enough to go around?
I'm assuming you tried the wireless speed within 1m (no interference of any kind, wall, tv, etc) between you? Has the speed still dropped? Or only when further away?
And finally, just to confirm, we aren't talking about your net connection right? Just your Wi-Fi?
