I have a TP-LINK TL-WA830RE 300Mbps Wireless N Range Extender, which works cr*p as an extender, so using it as an access point.
I use the "Wifi Analyzer" app on my Nexus 4 to check the network, and the app always tells me the lower channels 1-6 are the best, but if I set the AP to use these channels, none of my wifi devices work. They connect ok, but they have no internet.
I have resorted to using channels 10+, which everyone else in my street uses - and seem to push out a better signal too!
*mode: 11bgn/mixed
*channel width 20/40
* TX rate 300mbps
* WPA2 (AES)
I seem to have very limited wifi options to get the best out of my equipment :/
Am I missing something?
I am so so fed up with wifi
is there a very indepth guide to getting the best out of wifi anywhere etc?
Thank you.
