I have a Xbox 360 in a spare bedroom that is adjacent to my bedroom that has my wireless D-Link DIR-615 (on DD-WRT custom FW) connect to my virgin media Superhub (in modem mode). The Xbox is using the older wireless adapter to get a internet connection, but the signal strength is only reading 1 or just barely 2 out of 4 bars, there must only be 5-7 meter distance between the d-link and Xbox console, surely i should be getting 3 if not 4 full bars on the Xbox?
The funny thing is the Xbox can detect my next door neighbors router (detached house) and that is a stronger signal that what i can get from my own router. Something is not right here, any suggestions on what i can try altering?, i have tired the TX power from 71 to 150 which appears to have no effect at all. The settings i have for the wireless....
