Poorly Eurofighter.

Oh dear, thats not a good image of the supposedly 'next generation' fighter jet. I'm glad the crew weren't hurt though! :)

Ouch! might cost a few bob to sort that out - won't they have to go over the airframe to check for microfractures and fatigue now?

Can't see it being allowed to be operational without a intesive check. Imagine the stress at 9 g's and if theres a fracture somewhere critical?

^ I know nothing though so Im probably talking rubbish again :)

Intended to be the leading United States advanced tactical fighter in the early part of the 21st century, the Raptor is certainly the most expensive fighter ever. As of April 2005 the total development and production cost of the program is at least $70 billion, and the number of planes to be built has dropped to 180, raising the cost per plane to several hundred million dollars each

omg thats yanks for you i guess

I wonder why they came in over tarmac rather than grass?

Because grass is uneven and soft, and could have caused even more damage. The nose could have easily buried itself in the ground which would probably cause the aircraft to be totally destroyed.
