Pop ups

I aheven't had a pop up in years. If you have the blocker enabled in your browser then you may have some spyware, do a scan and nuke the little bleeder.

Try AVG ANtispyware or a-squared along with the usual spybot, adaware and Windows defender.

  • 2 - Ad-Aware SE
  • 3 - AntiVirus
  • 4 - Uninstall all programs that you don't use
  • 5 - If these don't work system try System Restoring it to a day where the problems weren't there
 
Blocking the popups does not get rid of the problem, it just hides it.

If none of the suggestions above work then:

Download a copy of HiJackThis.

First make a folder on your computer in my documents called Hijackthis and then Unzip it to that folder.
Then doubleclick the Hijackthis.exe.

Click the Scan button, when the scan is finished the scan button will become Save Log click that and save the log.
Go to where you saved the log and click on Edit > Select All then click on Edit > Copy then paste the log at one of the sites listed here, or the one in my signature.

It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required,
so do NOT fix anything yet.
