really not sure where to post this but i have logi 6.1's with only 5.1 plugged in when people turn certain light switches on or off they pop is this speakers or crappy house wiring anyone think of a possible cure?

its the power wiring in the house taking a little hit.
easy to fix, you need a surge supressor, i use a small belkin block that has built in variable resistors so it helps to condition the power line and provide a more stable power feed, however it just uses resistors to smooth out the flow of power and to reduce ripple. cost me £3.50 from a huge well know pc high stree store.

I thought capacitors charge up with power and releases it slowly. In which case, resistors should be right?
I suppose you could, I'm not sure how well a resistor would work though, I've always used capacitors for smoothing.

Yeah, my father has built his own power controllers for trainsets using capacitors - makes the trains start up much more smoothly.
