The only reviews I can find are glowing, which made me feel like the odd one out because I just couldn't get with it. I only played Fortnite once, so never got into battle royale type games... however, after a few more goes Population One is growing on me. Debating whether to get a refund or not. Once you get used to the controls, it feels quite good, especially aiming and firing weapons. I just wonder if it'll get a bit samey after a while.
I generally dislike shooters so was expecting to return this, but I've had fun. I quite like the rhythm and build up of BR, and matches are very short so doesn't drag. Getting a kill is very satisfying even if it's mainly luck, as it's a relatively rare event. I'm a bit shy so was worried about coms, but it's fine. You can be as quiet as you want.

Simple graphics seem to suit the game well. Hopefully a quest 2 bump will be coming?
Had a few games of this last night and enjoyed it. If you change the texture resolution to 2048 in sidequest the game looks really nice and runs pretty well.
I had a few games on my Quest but decided to refund it. It has some really cool game mechanics like the climbing and flying. However for me the gunplay just wasn't up to the same standard as the best online FPS VR titles out there.
I particularly hated that they give you a red crosshair which removes the need to aim down the sights. Seems like a daft thing to do in a VR shooter.
Most guns I use, while it does come up with a fairly large crosshair for hip-firing, requires you to look down the sights for a more focussed aim. I'm still loving it, met some nice people online too. It's got that dangerous temptation of "just one more".
