popups

well i cant get rid of them...popups that is, i just bought a new router and it started from then, i didnt have them before, but anyway i get popups when im connected to internet (as it always on now) and when im NOT browsing the web, i got antivirus programs but popups just keep coming, is there any way to stop them?

my router is netgear dg834 by the way.

What kind of pop-ups? IE pop-ups, messenger pop-ups? Have you run Adaware or Spybot SD?

the popups come up with internet explorer i think, just a blue bar at the top no website nothing, yes i do use spybot and adaware, ill do a scan and see if that changes anything

get firefox and download the NoScripts and Adblock extension.

make sure you get latest versions of IE and messenger which are IE 7 beta 3 and windows live messenger

lastest version of FF with popup blocker on works fine for me, no issues. You must have some spyware hiding some were if your pop up blocker isnt catching them.

Than again some blockers dont catch them all

ahh ill try get IE7 see if that stops anythin, ill do a few scans n see what happens, ill report back if theres any problems
