Looks, err, looks like an LMP1

Looks like they have gone for the Audi style fat nose rather than the thin pointy front like the Toyota and Peugeot.

The paint job is standard prototype camo to stop people being able to photograph it. Hasn't really worked.

All it needs now is Webber driving it :)

That looks hideous (and while reasoning above sounds reasonable, its a massive fail lol)

Is the shape of that air intake standard, it looks rather basic in shape and could surely be more aero-ly designed?

its not really to stop it being photographed its meant to help stop you seeing all the detail/shape etc on the body

The aero on the car looks very basic to me. Not like Audi or Toyota are using at all.

Hmmm I think Porsche more than anyone else knows how to build a LMP1 car.....

Porsche announced the LMP1 programme in 2012 when there was still plenty of time to develop a 2013 car but they made it clear that they were targetting 2014 simply because that was the start of a period of rules stability. There was never any question of there being a 2013 spec car.

Do you honestly think Porsche (or anyone else with the budget to build an LMP1 car) is going to build a 2014 car to 2013 specs?

I would hope not, but then, would you have expected mclaren to build a car with a major part of it, mounted upside down?

Stranger things have happened..

So Webber, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani signed so far. That's probably the WEC line up with another couple of ex Audi guys coming in for Le Mans (assuming 2 cars each for Audi and Porsche)

hardly a weak team!

This is an epic line-up. LMP1 has some seriously big names in it at the moment

is this paint job legit or just designed to make seeing the lines and angles or the car harder to see?

It's a standard camo paintjob. Used by pretty much all car companies to hide the looks of their new cars.

McLaren have the best one on the prototype P1. It's fastastic. It's just drawings of racetracks. Want!
