The Porsche RSR replica project my father has been working on (with some help from me!) is coming along nicely now, thought I'd share a few pics from yesterday with you all, should be finished and up for sale this summer -

Got both doors on and all 4 BBS wheels refurbished and on with the proper tyres (took months and months for them to come into stock). All panels fitting pretty well just need some adjusment to bonnet and the spoiler has yet to be fitted, although we did sit it on for a few pics.

The car is based on a 1985 911 and the engine is a fully rebuilt 3.2 Carerra engine. Started her up for the first time in months yesterday and she started first time sounding sweet as a nut. Fitted the rear windscreen yesterday and made a start on the interior carpets. Got lightweight Recaro seats waiting to go in and also the roll cage is going to be painted white before re fitting. Going to raise the back slightly as it's a bit low at the moment, just about clearing the tyres! Sorry for the massive pics, I'll try and resize them now!

He's done a few restores so far but this one is looking to be the best by far, sprayed in original grand prix white. Will look a lot better when the remaining windows are in and all interior fitted, rollcage etc. Had to take a few pics yesterday though :D Spent a few hours just sitting looking at the car :) Check the original thread to see the amount of work that's gone into it.

Thanks for the positive comments. The pictures are taken in his bodyshop. Will be sure to update this thread when the car is complete :)

Carpets and interior trim finished off today and part of the spoiler sprayed black. iPhones playing up so no pics at the moment. Finish rubbing down the rollcage, spray it black (decided opposed to white) and fit it tomorrow. May also fit the front screen if we have time, will get more pics tomorrow hopefully.

Rear Spoiler sprayed and fitted, along with rear lights, boot clips, grills, stickers etc

Rollcage has been sprayed and fitted, no pics yet though (you can just make it out above)

Missed this the first time you posted it, all I can say is.. wow.

Can't wait until she's finished and on the road, the smallest of jobs always seem to take the longest. Took 3 hours to fit the front screen today. Cleaned it all up and got it fitted, seemed to be ok but didn't sit quite right at the bottom, got it back out and the rubber was out of shape slightly, tried getting it back into shape and managed to crack the screen :\ Luckily we had a spare one here which turned out to be in better condition than the first so worked out ok in the end, took the mirror off before fiddling around with it as that's what caused the first one to crack.

Just found some old pictures showing the work gone into fitting the RSR bodykit (well, one rear arch :D) -
