Port conversion (quick question)

If i am converting from HDMI to DVI will the quality be the same or slightly better than regular DVI. Just wondering for a three screen set up as i dont want the definition to change from screen to screen.

DVI and HDMI are essentially the same thing, ie they send a digital signal. As digital signals are made up of 0's and 1's there should be no difference in terms of quality, although some Home Cinema aficionados may try to tell you differently

What about HDMI to vga or is that the same.

VGA is an analogue signal so therefore will differ in quality over a digital output.

you may notice you get sound from your monitor speakers, was confused when I heard the windows start up through the speakers. I've seen no difference in quality myself and leads can be had for a few quid delivered.
