Hey, I'm having trouble forwarding warzone. The Port Forward webpage is confusing.

There's 3 ports but 4 boxes for TCP and only 2 for UDP. Can anyone help? I've got no idea what to put where.

I have this:
  • TCP Ports: 3074, 27014-27050
  • UDP Ports: 3074-3079
To put into this:

(sorry I'm having an issue uploading the image so here's a link. As you can see, it's not exactly clear.

Any help would be appreciated, but you have to explain like I don't know anything. It's very confusing.

You might need multiple rules here. You are not limited to 1 rule per item.

Rulename = Warzone_3074_TCP
External Ports = START 3074 END 3074
Internal Ports = START 3074 END 3074
Protocol = TCP

Rulename = Warzone_27014_TCP
External Ports = START 27014 END 27050
Internal Ports = START 27014 END 27050
Protocol = TCP

Rulename = Warzone_3074_UDP
External Ports = START 3074 END 3079
Internal Ports = START 3074 END 3079
Protocol = UDP

I think that should do it.

Having port forwarded dozens of Sky Routers in my previous role I’d venture to say this won’t make a blind bit of difference. As long as your router uses uPnP which most routers will, you shouldn’t need to do this at all.

Thank you so much. It worked! but I posted the wrong game, that was for Cold War.

The ones I need are:

  • TCP Ports: 3074, 27014-27050
  • UDP Ports: 3074, 3478, 4379-4380, 27000-27031, 27036
Now I've set this up however it won't let me use the same rule for 3074.
Cold War uses 3074-3079, however WZ-Modern Warfare used 3074-3074 so it gives me an error message that 3074 is already in use.
Any idea how I could get around this?

Maybe, but I'll try anything, and my moderate nat seems to be an issue. It's worth a try and see if the open will make a difference.

uPnP can be an absolute nightmare for certain applications. It literally doesn't work every time.

Then you would just expand the ports and put the rule name for something generic.

1 rule can be used for multiple games. Think of port forwarding as lots of colored gates to allow different animals through. Multiple animals can go through the same colored gates to get through to the other side. For example (For both games)

Rulename = 3074-3079_TCP
External Ports = START 3074 END 3079
Internal Ports = START 3074 END 3079
Protocol = TCP

Rulename = 3074-3079_UDP
External Ports = START 3074 END 3079
Internal Ports = START 3074 END 3079
Protocol = UDP

if you getting disconnected a lot just play with a vpn. routing issue with cod and some ****** internet companies.

"Moderate NAT" in the Call of Duty games makes zero difference, is misleading and should be removed.

Strict on the other hand can present matchmaking or VOIP problems but is usually only experienced in double NAT situations.

Unfortunately BT routers are a bit pants and with Warzone/COD in particular, NAT often shows as moderate.

Some servers need to communicate directly with the game. How do you think traffic goes from outside to inside your network? Sometimes uPnP comes into play and opens ports automatically n when the game closes, shuts the ports.
It utilises established connections initiated from the client. You don't need to NAT unless the server initiates the connection.
