Trying to enable port 6888 for uTorrent in my wireless router config but im struggling tbh.Anyone got a similar router who could take a few screenshots [minus your details of course] and post them on here for me?

What's the issue you are having? utorrent not being able to connect and showing a exclamation triangle in its status after DHT attempts to connect to peers?

Just enable encryption first to stop traffic shaping by your ISP (best to enable it anyway though) and randomise a port, utorrent uses the same listen port as the port you set, eg: mine is

Which says:
Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.
A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.

Checking port 31084 on [My IP]....

OK! Port 31084 is open and accepting connections.

You will be able to receive incoming BitTorrent connections.

If you forward said port on the router to your pcs local IP address then all should be good, if you let windows grab a IP from the router instead of manually setting it up you may need to enable UPNP instead (unless you manualy assign the IP)

Ok now im feeling slightly miffed! The box i bought from them purple wearing monsters at Xmas says its a 7231 but when i checked the actual router its a F5D7230uk4.

Im on NTL[Virgin] and as far as i know the IP is Dynamic, reading your suggestions so far it looks like i need to enable a static IP address.Do i need to do this for each PC on my network [there are 3,1 wireless connection and 2 wired.

if the belkin supports IP reservations like netgear does then you dont need to static IP every pc, in fact none :p just reserve the IP to your pcs MAC address on the router.

if you dont have that feature manual assignment is needed as when your PC is off if you just do it to your PC another machine is capable of nabbing your IP while it's offline so all PCs need to be set up manually.

Simple to do though, primary DNS to your routers IP, default gateway to your routers IP and nothing else needed.
