Port Forwarding PS4

Hi all,

Quick query as my port forwarding efforts for my PS4 to my ASUS DSL-N66U aren't going very well. What I've done:

1) Told PS4 to seek static IP 192.168.1.99 (router default gateway is 192.168.1.1)

2) Forwarded all the ports mentioned on PortForward website. However, the exact model is not shown there, and this model requires an entry for 'Local IP' for each port forwarded, which the guide does not give. I have set this as 192.168.1.99. Is this correct?

Despite above, PS4 reports NAT type 2 :/ Any ideas on what I might have done wrong?

Not entirely sure what the issue is, as nothing inherently wrong with NAT type 2.

NAT type 3 is the one that can cause issues, NAT Type 1 is unachievable for most people (as requires direct connection to the modem / Public Static IP address allocated to the PS4)

I have never had to forward ports manually to get anything to work (although can't remember, but likely that I am have UPnP enabled on my Draytek router).

Worst case have you just tried putting the PS4's IP address as the DMZ?
