We have 1 Xbox 360 and 2 Xbox One consoles in out house hold and they all report the Strict NAT type i know there are 2 remedies for this issue setting a DMZ address (not ideal) or setting up port forwarding.

Im using the ASUS NT56U wireless router which has the Padavan Custom Firmware installed, but im noticed once i setup the ports for one console when i try and setup ports for the next console im unable to as i get a notification..

'This entry is in list (Port 80)'

Is it possible to setup the same ports for different IP address (consoles)??

No, you cannot forward ports to more than one destination. Can you not use upnp or assign different ports to each Xbox?

Well i believe these ports are set by XBox Live so i need to use the 5 or so ports (53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500).

I have upnp enabled on the router already but that doesnt sort the issue.

Can i set open ports and use my Gateway IP address, that way these ports would be open across my network? Or is that unsafe?

You can't do it. The NAT in the router needs to know where to send the incoming packets for those ports.

If you want multiple Xbox/Playstations behind a firewall then you either need to turn on UPnP and hope it works, or allocate each device a public IP and configure NAT appropriately.

I've never had to touch any router settings to get any games console to work.

Is UPNP enabled on the router? (turn it on)

What do you mean by a Public IP?, do you mean set a manual IP? how do i configure NAT appropriately

Yeah the games work but if you look at the status for the connection the NAT will either be

Strict
Moderate
Open

In order to get it open i need to forward the correct ports but it seems i can only set the ports for 1 device

What you are trying to do cannot be done - one external port can go to one internal destination. Turn UPnP on and let it do its job.

Ive noticed this section on my router....

UPnP
NAT-PMP & PCP
UpnP & NAT-PMP & PCP
