Port Forwarding / Hosting Problem
Currenly im having problem hosting Counterstrike Source to play online with my mates.
I have a netgear DG834N router and am currently using vista
I have port forwarded all the ports that are needed for the game (I visited PortForward.com and the steam website to see if i had missed any ports (Steam Portforwarding results)
I have allowed port forwarding for inbound and outbound services.
I no there is a thread for this already here i have tried everthing on that thread and i dont fancy using the program that is suggested (hamachi) if there is a way to host CSS on my router easily.
so could someone please point me in the right direction as what to do.
also do i need to allow the ports that i have forwarded in my microsoft firewall or is just allowing the program enough.
i have also read that setting my router to allow dmz is a bad thing becasue it removes firewall protection and allows all ports to that desired ip so i dont want to do this so please dont post allow DMZ thank you
