portable cd player speakers?

hey, my gf has a sony discman and wants to connect speakers to it so can you guys recommend any?

been looking at the creative labs ones like these but unsure of the connections...

would these work with a portable cd player? or can you suggest some that will? she wants ones that are quite loud as the 2x2rms ones she had werent loud enough.

They can be used but they aren't portable, they need to be plugged into the mains. Best way to do it is get a small amp (Sonic Impact T-amp) and some small speakers to run through it.

What's the budget?

Creative I-Trigue 2200 @ £30~

Logitech Black X-140 @ £15 ~

The amp is around £25 delivered. The amp will power the speakers making them much louder and sound a bit better than being un-powered.

forgot to mention, the speakers dont need to be portable and mains powered is fine as this is for when shes at home or for a bit of party music. she has a mini system elsewhere so this is just something to use thats reasonably cheap and utilising existing hardware.

Oh, they would be fine then. I would still spend a little more though, maybe some Logitech Z3 or Z4 (£40~ and £50~) as they'll sound quite a bit better.
