Can anyone recommend me a set of portable speakers. I have no idea where to start with these so recommendations would be good. Preferably a pair that can run off both battery and mains (if there are any).:)

No one have any ideas?

Also my sister has lost one of the ear buds for her headphones (the standard ones that come with the Sony NWZ A818) where is the best place to get replacement ones?

Thanks

I was going crazy for a pair of decent portable speakers during the summer and the best I found were the JBL on tour ones. They're obviously not anything special but as far portable speakers go they're nice and loud and run off AAA batterys.

Just get some off ebay if they're the silicon standard plastic ones I'm thinking of.

I just gaffer taped a few midi speakers together and used a T-amp which runs from battery or a 12v mains adaptor. Works a treat. :)

I bought a logitech pure-fi anywhere ipod dock that has an aux input (3.5mm jack) and that sounds great. It's got a built in rechargable battery that last for ~8 hours of constant playback. Definitely worth a look IMO.

They will be for my sister and I would rather buy off the shelf, good idea though, i may look into that for myself.

Bit more than budget (not that I put one in), looking for £40 max I guess, and also would look a little silly without an ipod to stick in it.

That looks pretty good, that's certainly an option. Would they not be specific to each model of headphone? I may just get her to get a full pair off there and just use the bud off that, if they are fake it won't matter then.
