I'm looking for a small yet decent pair of 2.0 speakers to ensure some laptop sound can reach the whole classroom. They need to be fairly self contained (hence no 2.1) and not mega heavy. Loudness is more important than good quality sound, although they will need to still be clear at louder volumes as it's a music teacher using it.
The user will also be lugging them to different classrooms, so I'm afraid a room size is not possible- small and large! Budget is preferably up to £30, but I can stretch to more with persuasion. Also, 2nd hand is fine too.

P.S. A bonus would be the choice of running them from batteries but I don't think loud speakers will support that will they?
