I suppose now that both consoles sell with a 250gb HDD then it's viable. I know that's small in PC terms but my 250gb HDD in my PS3 goes a very long way.

While other people seem ready to discredit them and claim they know exactly what's going to happen in the future based on nothing.

Valve have never shown signs of this. Their console versions have always been ports on their PC versions, I highly doubt they're going to change they way they've operated for a decade just because some of the other developers have.
