I do realise there is a portal 2 thread but was hoping I would be ok :D

Can anyone confirm - if I was to buy Portal 2 on the PS3, I could give the PC code to someone else and therefore play it with them? or is there something in place to stop this.

There must be something to stop you doing this, otherwise everyone playing on PC would have just bought it on PS3, used the Steam code then traded in the PS3 game and got Portal 2 for a fiver.

Can two players play online co-op with each other using a single purchase of Portal 2 for PlayStation®3?

Only PlayStation®3 split-screen co-op can be played using a single copy of the game. When you purchase a new copy of Portal 2 for PlayStation®3, you will receive an in-box code which provides your linked Steam account with access to your copy of Portal 2 on your computer. The game is still owned by only a single Steam account--another copy will be required to play online co-op with a friend.

You have to tie the steam account to your PS3 first, *then* enter the code. In theory, if your mate logged into their steam account on PS3, then he could redeem the code.
