Portal download

Looking at downloading the Orange Box off Steam-anyone know how big the download is? I already have the Source engine etc with HL2.

Cheers-I was only wondering about Portal, the Orange Box contains more than just that game on disk.

Well that's the size it says it is when you check by right clicking it > properties > something. (In steam game list)

Portal is 985Mb and TF2 is 1384Mb, that's what Steam says for me anyway.

Bare in mind that he needs to download the source 2007 engine, Portal gcfs are around 1.1gbs & source 2007 1.2gbs

Cheers-think I will get it on disc, my net connection has been awful recently-currently updating CoH on Steam and getting 20kbps

Orange Box contains what, 5 games? HL2, HL2:EP1, HL2:EP2, Portal, TF2 are rougly 15Gb so I'm a bit puzzled what the other 5Gb on the disk contains...

It's an awful lot to download so a hard copy is probably the safer option

It also includes Hl2: DM and HL2: Lost Coast + peggle extreme i think, although not sure if they are on the disk.

Bit off topic, but did the people with the Black Box from buying the 2900XT get the full Orange Box?

The version on disc is cheaper too. I got mine in tesco's for £27
