The game style is inspired, well if they did use portals, would that not be a copy of portal? making the game a copy of portal and not a game inspired by portal
But the only thing that makes portal portal is the portals!
Not the mind bending level design and simple idea? which turns into many complex puzzles?
If that's the case then I take back my criticism, but it just looked like simple platforming from that vid

If you're after a portal like game for free, check out Narbacular Drop. It's the game that the idea for portal is from.

It has that "hey I'm composed solely of boxes" look in terms of the levels, but seems to be more of a proof-of-concept really. And like you said, it's free.
Hmmm, well that theory didn't work too well with AA3!
But thanks for the heads up, will give it a go.
Americas Army has always been free and is still better than most online shooters, They're fixing most of the problems though. Free is always welcome!
