I went today to fire up a quick game on Portal today and found it to be completely unplayable - it just stutters unceasingly until you click on an option from the menu, takes at least 30 secs to acknowledge your click and so on....
It's worked fine for me in the past and I've not made any changes to my system since the last time I played it. I've read some other people are having problems with it, but I've not seen any solutions. I've tried validating and defragging the game files to no avail, has anyone had/solved this problem? I want some cake
