Porting from orange to o2

I've just ordered a new phone from o2 online and have my orange pac code. I've filled in the form on o2 to port the number but in the email I have back, its says to reply with my new o2 number and new o2 sim card number. Now I obviously havn't got these yet, so do I have to wait until the phone turns up first before porting my number accross?

Yea. when the phone gets delivered you put the number on the O2 sim into that from on the O2 site with your PAC code and it should transfer you over
