Porting number with PAC code issue :(

Hey

I've been with 3 for many years and I keep getting new SIM only deals with Quidco and it not only works out cheaper, I also get cashback
This time around, they've saying I can't port from 3 to 3 like I did before.

So, I need another pay as you go SIM on another network to port it to that and then back to 3.

What's the cheapest, easiest why to do this. Giffgaff or someone else?

Asda was what I used didn't cost anything extra but this was over a year ago

Do they do a free SIM card or something? How easy was it to the PAC code from them?

Order SIM free didn't top up or anything, log into account to transfer number or call customer service

I did this over a year ago so things might have changed

Looking at the Asda site. £4 for a month. Probably not going to find anything cheaper

The Sims free I didn't need to top up

Orded one this morning. I was only seeing ones for £4 a month. Then I had another look and for the free SIM card one.

Do you not need to top-up to activate it? Usually do with other networks.

it just activated when inserted the sim, didnt need to top up but this was a while ago so could have changed now

I'll update the tread when it comes. Might be helpful for others doing the same thing.
