Just going through my photos from Nepal and found this portrait I had forgotten about but really liked:

Let me know what you think :)

Really nice shot. Id maybe back off on the saturation a tad as im nearly getting sunburn from the colours here. It might also make a very good B&W shot. But generally its a very nice shot with a very interesting character. :)

Thanks for the comments guys :) to be honest I hadn't realised quite how high the saturation was i was too busy working on the contrast! I've toned them down a bit so here's another version:

Let me know which you think is better.

z0mbi3: We went to Pokhera at first and treked to Annapurna Base camp, then spent a few days in Khatmandu before heading back to India. This photo was taken in a village above Pokhera.

As for proccessing, mostly dodge and burn with a hard light layer applied over the top :)

The last one's definitely better! It's a great picture but that first version had me screaming "My eyes, my eyes!" Maybe it's just my uncalibrated monitor. :-)

To be honest I'd like to see the picture toned down even more so it loses the artificial quality altogether; the subject speaks for itself without a lot of processing (so MK's B&W suggestion might be interesting). But photography wouldn't be much fun if we all agreed on what a good picture looks like.

Thanks Andrew, here's a couple more versions then:

Thanks for all of the advice guys, It's definantly a work in progress so any more comments would be highly apreiciated :) Personally i think the third version is my favorite so far:)

Jeez, and I thought I'd had a hard life!!

Great picture, really like it, and for me it has to be colour.

Not keen on the B&W actually - it's not bad, but the colour is much more effective. The toned down version is so much better, though it only accentuates just how overdone the original was.

Good picture, like it. Maybe blur the background as the red wash out takes your eye of the person a little. Other than that looks good, maybe a little blow out on the fingers, but im being picky there.

Anyone else look at that pic and think....

2nd one is the best - you can see the detail on the fringe of the blue dress now. maybe some more red around the top and the face to bring it out more - 4-6% id say. After that, dam godo picture...

Dare you to impose a blackpearl picture on the wall behind her...
