Nice, but a little too much light on the couples head imo... the glare is a bit too much and detracts from the dreaminess of the shot (just my view).

Btw, I like the composition, the angle, shooting through the grass thing is very now at the moment. I love it too.

The problem I find is coming across a field both local, is dry, it has enough clearing not to absolutely ruin the dress (I was next to a rapeseed field the other week...not a chance the bride could go in it) and the right condition in both weather and light. Sometimes the speeches in the evening just clashes with the right light and when that's done, you've missed it.

Most of the time you are just playing the hand you get dealt and trying to make the most of it.
I did feel especially lucky this time though, considering the weather had been like below nearly all day.
I looked like a drowned rat by the start of the ceremony.

It cleared up in time for close to golden hour. Ground was still damp, dress got a little wet/dirty at the bottom. Bride was cool with it though, and considering that picture made her cry, I'm sure she doesn't regret it.

It's a cruel irony sometimes when brides spend a fortune on their dress. They want to feel extra good about themselves so they enjoy their wedding as much as possible.
What I see happen too often is brides shackled by their dress due to anxiety about possibly blemishing it in some way.
At one of my favourite weddings, the bride was playing tug of war in the rain. Dress got soaked and dirty by the end of the night. However I'm sure that if the bride could go back in time, she wouldn't change a thing and would happily choose to do the same all over again rather than have a perfectly preserved dress at the end of the night.

I know what you mean, they often an anchor, especially in the evening and they end up either carrying them around all night and not being able to dance freely. Some dresses you can hook up at the back but still weight them down more than normal.

I think in all these years, only 2 brides had dresses that didn't have a long tail. But then again, it's how they react to it that makes the photos. Same with the weather, if they embrace the rain, even that can be good.

p.s. it poured down too for mine at the weekend the moment I finished the formals.
