in another thread camera grip in portrait mode is discussed which has led me to a question.
using portrait mode is there a preferred(for stability)way of holding.

Ive seen 2 choices, the most common seems to be
1. right elbow(if right handed)out at an angle.

2. Left hand on top to allow elbows close to body, this seems a bit more awkward but does seem more stable.

any tips are very welcome.

thanks

hahaha,I'm always being told that!
Now back to the photography:)I may look into it but the camera does feel comfortable shutter button on top in Portrait .
It was a Ben Long video on Lynda.com that showed the button under elbows in way, thats what made me ask because it didn't feel comfortable but did feel solid.
