Hi, can anyone recommend really decent hotel restaurant spa type places in the above areas for a family weekend break please?

I'm looking for 4* or 5* places in the country and near nice scenic areas for walking, rather than a city break.

Thanks.

Hoar cross hall is up that way.

Been a while since I been, more of a thing for the Mrs, but it was ok.

Last time we went they had a guy playing piano all classical **** etc, but I asked if he knew any rock music and he started playing the piano instrumental to a load of classics, what a legend.

Losehill house - Been here a couple of times it's good but not the best spa however the restaurant food is great. It is a couple of miles from Castleton which is one of my favourite villages in the UK - very picturesque and a couple of great pubs, which also has the nearby blue john caverns that are fun and something different to do. Also Peveril castle to go and visit. Lots to do in the area

Alternatively Breadsall Priory is a wonderful Marriot golf hotel resort with a fab restaurant

Don't forget to post pics of your dinner here Now eating thread

Bit chav fest these days sadly.

My local gym for years but became red letter day special.

Ive been told this is nice, but not sure it has a spa, but great food.

This also has a strong reputation and as mentioned above.
