Position Cursor

Could somebody please tell me how you position the text entering curosr to automatically go into a text box when a webpage is loaded, for example on google when you load it up the text cursor goes straight into the text box.

something along the lines of "fieldname".setfocus maybe ?

unsure though, that is how you would do it in VB but unsure about web languages

Thanks, ii've got that bit working. Now in that text box i have http://www. inserted on load, do you know how i would set the text entering cursor so it begins at the end of the http://www. ?
