poss faulty PSU

hey there im getting some strange problems with my sons pc.
For no reason it iwll just switch off like someone pulled the plug.The only way to get it to switch on is to turn off the PSU and then turn it back on .. starts normally the voltages are as follows

12v is 11.731
5v is 4.78
3.3v is 3.162

Is that from software or via a multimeter, as software is notoriously bad at reading voltages

its a ocz core x stream 500w and the readings are from hw monitor

Take the reading from a digital multimeter, as not all hardware monitoring software is accurate.

It's still a dirt cheap PSU, and any PSU can fail. So it's quite possible it's having problems. You won't know until you swap it and try with something else.

What hardware is attached to it?
