Poss Motherboard Broken

Hi all,

Just got back from the gym turned computer got up to make a drink, smacked my knee on the side of the case (Knees fine) computer went through a blue screen dump check or something like that, turned computer off as it freezed up, now I've turned it back on theres no display dectected.

There is:
Green light on MB
CPU fan spinning
GFX card lit up

Both disconnected and reconnected Hd cables however due to the fact there is no motherboard loading screen at the start im suspecting the MB has gone?

Using Asus P5QL/EPU with a Q6600.

Probably checked this already but, have you checked the display lead coming out of the graphics card? Might have come loose when you knocked it.

Yeah I know what you mean yeah done that

,
wish i had onboard video now just to eliminate the GFX being gone.

have you tryed removing the mb battery and reseting the bios jumper?

Ive now removed the battery reset the jumpers and still no joy? any other suggestions

Everything seems to be working when i look inside the case, even the GFX which is the Vapour x 5770.

Check every component, every power lead, every SATA cable etc. to make sure none have been knocked loose.
