since last night my gtx560 was only showing 7k ppd, the temp of the card was 35c , but yet running at 99% , i removed the slot and readded it, same thing again. i left it till now and reinstalled the folding client but no luck , now it is showing 7000 ppd again while at 99% use and 35 c

wu 8070, my gtx 460 was getting 17k ppd from these so it must be the gpu? its saying 12 hours to complete,

is there any gpu programs that test for a bad gpu? as i am unsure if there going to fall for the " its broke it doesnt give me 20 k ppd when folding " lol

i dont game so cant even try gaming as i have no games to try , i need to know by tommorow so i can drive to the shop and get them to try there selfs

i had this message also

16:56:41:WARNING:Exception: 7:127.0.0.1: Send error: 10054: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

i ran it on the 560 and 460, the 560 got upto 80 something fps at one point , i didnt see anything wrong on the screen or it didnt crash, how long as you suppose to leave it running

edit

after a drive reinstall and update, i also swapped slots with each gpu and overclocked the 560 to coreclock of 889 and it shot upto 19k ppd now, the temps also back up to 67c at the min , the house has had heating on all day so higher than normal.

Sometimes if you are running similar but not the same cards in a single rig it pays to reinstall the drivers for both cards.

Also if you have a driver crash behind the scenes the card that it happens to will start to run at desktop clocks rather than 3D clocks. That may also have happened.

its doing it again, this time ive tryed all sort, i thought i had it fixed but then the 99% gpu load dropped down , and the strange thing is, even when its showing 99% load its only at like 35c hot, usaly its around 60c , and the ppd shown is all over the place aswell, it'll tell me im on like 60'000ppd from the gpu then just stop folding.

at the min its saying 43k from a wu 8071 , any other time its only 19k

ill see what its like when i wake up, i may have to just remove one of the cards and be back to single gpu

Check with gpuz or afterburner see what's going on with the clocks. Also this can be s symptom of the cpu or system being too busy to provide interrupts to the gpus. Check what is the cpu usage and if you have installed anything recently that might have put extra load on the system.

Btw sorry I haven't answered your email, been s bit busy. But yes going to put the 470s on the mm soon as I get the time to break down the rig.

i did install some windows media player codec to try and get a movie playing right before it did it, ive removed them now though, another stange thing is, i removed the drivers and tryed to update them in device manager right clicking on each gpu and click update from the net, but its telling me it has the most upto date drivers even when they was removed!

evga precision is all i have installed but its showing clock speeds of what they normally are, they was slightly overclocked but now back to standard.

oh ye my cpu folding was using 4 cores, dropped it down to 3 now aswell
