hello there.

i recently baught the ultima tyrannasauras from here on overclockers the package came fien and was set up in a short time but how ever the bios reset it self after i reboots my computer a few times reinstalling windows. now i went into bios and clocked it back too 4.6 as it pre states it was stable at this speed thats all fine and dandy but it still resets it self sometimes is this a possible hardware issue?

second i got the 2 nvidia gtx 580's in sli mode and tried too use them playing crysis 2 once again all works fine game was very smooth at full etails direct x 11 and so forth now in nvidia sli options there is one too dedicate either your cpu or one of your gfx cards too phys x so i tried too dedicate one.
as i got into game and loaded up i had a huge fps drop is this normal?

thank you for your replys too this thread

Might be an idea for you to post in the costumer section of the forum about your issue
with the BIOS reset, or give the team at OcuK a ring and im sure they will be more than
happy to help you out with your problem.

With regards to the Sli im not sure about this so I will leave that to someone who knows
more about Sli than me.

In SLI you don't want to dedicate one card to PhysX because then it stops dealing with other GPU stuff and only processes PhysX, if you leave it as the default then it chooses one card that will handle PhysX but it will also act in SLI to deal with the GPU processing still so because one was dedicated, then only the other one deals with all the other graphics and this is why you've had a drop in fps.

EDIT* On default it might also select the CPU to allow the 2 SLI cards to deal purely with the other GPU processes, might be best to see what works best but I wouldn't do a 580 dedicated to PhysX.

thanks for the fast replys i wil lask about the bios thing for sure as thats my most concern.i would have thought that 1 card would be enough to oplay crysis 2 at full settings though myself

well im running crysis at 1920*1024 i think or around that 8xAA 4xaf all detai lsettings too max what do you think?

*update*

with the bios resetting itself when the overclock was enabled i took a chance at updateing the bios useing the mainboard auto bios update feature.
after the bios update i got into bios too see that my ocuk profile has been deleted. however not too fear as i somehow managed too remeber some of the overclock config they used
i managed to oclock it up back too 4.6 and have the mem running at 1600mhz and the bios no longer resets. the volts for the core is at 1.35 i think this is more than sufficient i think?
let me know what you guys think about that

thanks
