Howdy friends.
As it's been for a while, I've had my memory overclocked from 800MT/s upto 940MT/s (400MHz - 467MHz).
I then began thinking about the overall performance, as overclocking the memory can increase the CAS and RAS latency quite a bit, causing the possibility of actually less performance.
It's clock speed V Latency, which increases performance more? Overclocking the frequency obviously caused the CAS and LAS to skip clock cycles.
Therefore I went into the BIOS and switched it to manual, stock latency was 4-4-4-12. I whacked this down to 3-3-3-9.
Randomly today my PC restarted unexpectidly just as I came into use it, after 10mins of being idle... Strange, restarted problem apparently blue screen.
In any case, I imagine it's somewhat stable as it boots fine and everything with these latency's. May bench it, but not sure what with.
Any information/ advice? Thanks.
