I cant say I have searched the entire web for the best sites but I do feel this is well deserving of a few page hits.

Its inspiring how the site is very clever to adjust its self to a new theme and rotation on landscape and portrait work. It is amamzing how the site can pick up a colour from any image and set that as its background! Some really good talent put into use on this url.

I think all in all. A great put together website and a nice collection of work too..

Sorry if this has been posted in the past but I havent seen it in the year I have used these forums.

Please go see it and enjoy

I think anyone whos into portraiture or gig/band photography will really find this a fantastic reference place for ideas. I do believe he has published two books already. I wont lie to anyone, Im not too brushed up on famous photographers so many of you probably are already aware of him.

Agree with most points - but I hate flash galleries that make you wait to see the pictures. It's a little thing, but if I click a thumbnail I'd like the see the photo, not have to wait 4-5 seconds while the interface fannies about. :p

I dont agree. I believe it really makes the image fire as he has choosen a shade thats mainly featured in that particular shot. But your welcomed to like it or dislike it I suppose.

I dont have a problem with the background he has chosen on each photo as yea it does match the pics - the thing I was referring to was the thingie that lets u change the background based on what colour ** mouse pointer is over - pointless :)

Define pointless? If its caused (at the very least) one person to comment on it to another, then its served its purpose hasnt it?

Personally (after studying flash for 2 years and crying for 3) I think its a really nice feature. Having a colour picker like that on a photo just for me grabs a photographers/ image processor to get involved a little bit. The site offers you the chance to experiment with his shots on different bg colours and also gives u a save image as option. Now thats generious.

yea I see your point, I just think its more showing off then actually useful though. Like back in the day when you had those pages that would slide in...man they were annoying. I know this isnt quite on the same level and as annoying but the same principle for me. If you like it then cool though :)

The save image thing is good though.

Doesn't work in Firefox 1.5. Sucks. (There's no excuse)

Looks nice in IE, though.

Edit: Ah, FF has Flash7...might be why it doesn't work. Either way this post demonstrates that Flash sucks :D

I can see how it appeals but I find it a bit OTT and too fussy. Flash sites like this always annoy me. Why I need to wait several seconds for a 70kb image to load on an 8mb connection is beyond me. Nice photos tho :)

works fine here...

sure you haven't got AdBlock installed, as that generally buggers up anything flash related, I just got rid of it in the end.

Sorry, got bored waiting for all the fancy animation to finish playing. Closed the tab, and moved on.

Fancy web technologies are great when used properly, but when they are used like that, they don't do anything that a static page couldn't do, and they take longer over doing it.

There is some waiting about. Sometimes its not an issue but then again sometimes you just want to see it and move on.. But if your in that much of a rush, are you really taking the image in. Personally I would prefer to wait a few seconds before it loads fully than watch an image slowly build its self up like brick wall. I like to see an image in front of me rarther than watch parts of an image render until fully done.

very clever website but if you just wanna see the photos god damn its annoying! That thing where it changes as you put your mouse over it is nifty but took me far too long to work out what was going on :o
