Currently have
ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe
2gig DDR ram
AMD64 4800+
ATi 4870 512mb
X-Fi Fatal1ty soundcard
Seasonic S12 550W psu
Dual samsung sm 730bf 17" monitors

I'm considering buying a Benq FP241W 24" monitor and using the 4870 to run the 24" and installing my spare ATi X1900XT 256mb in the spare pci-e slot on my mobo to run the dual 17's which will be placed either side of the 24.
the 17's will only ever run internet/word/excel/music with all movies and games etc on the 24.

Basically is it as simple as plugging in my spare gfx card and plugging the monitors into the correct cards, then will i need ultramon or something to enable my mouse to go across all 3 monitors??

Also mainly, will my current 550w psu be enough to power all this stuff??

Thanks

Yeah it's as simple as that, all ultramon does is allow you to manage wallpapers and stuff better, its not needed, although it's worth having.

The PSU should be fine.

http://www.antec.outervision.com/ this is a nice PSU calculator i normally use just put in what you want to run and then it will give you a PSU recommendation even including variables like how long you will have it as PSU's degrade over time.

ultramon is used to extend your windows taskbar across different screens as windows normally doesnt support it and other features such as screensavers and wallpapers on all 3 screens. Your mouse will go over fine, when you plug them in to start with you will need to right click your desktop then go to properties settings and click on the screens numbered 2 and 3 and check "extend my windows desktop onto these monitors"

Cheers guys. Yeh i used that but maybe im being silly but doesnt seem to be an option to put in a 2nd gfx card unless its crossfire which it wont be, i put in an extra pci-e card though and power came in fine.
