ATI 5850 vs GTX460 768MB - http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/164?vs=156

after reading the fist spec that stulid listed i thought, hmmmm i wonder if it would be possible to squeese in a 955 and a 5850, scrolled down, bam already done :P

Ha, I'm so bad...thinking of spending more money now. What is the weak link with the system? Might spend £100 more....!

£100 will make a Sandybridge setup.

if you wana spend £100 more i would defiantly recommend a different case/psu as the elite 430 is quite dull and boring.

also if your willing to spend £500 it will look a lot nicer with that case and psu as there are no nasty unbraided cables and that is one of the nicest cases around imo, and there is also a 1tb drive instead of a 500gb one

Powelly, you must know that the GX psu are naff? and case choice is personal!!!! just because you dont like the looks doesn't mean other people do!!

And AMD gets destroyed by Sandybridge:) especially for £500.

The op was trying to remove the "weak link" not keep it and place it into a different case:D

ok then, in that case i can't beat stulids spec :(

And the benefit of having a sandy bridge system is? Don't need the technically jargon as am reading about it at the moment. I mean in terms of real world use...how much better is the SB over the quad core ? Excited about getting back into this.

yeah but without all this benchmark malarkey, the human eye only see's upto 60 frames per second anyway so would you actually see any difference in games i/e 134 fps vs 98 fps

your eye won't actually notice a difference, apart from future proofing i don't realy see the point?
