This is what i get for being friends with a few sixth formers, barrage of motoring questions i have no idea on lol!

Mate dropped a friend off to quickly get some batteries from a store but stupidly stopped in a controlled bus stop in Watling Avenue, he had his hazards on but don't think that'll wash, also a bus came behind and beeped him so he obviously was in the way.
heres a google map of the area..

Thats the bus stop and notice the dome camera across the other side of the road on a pole? I think hes cooked but some clarity will be appreciated as hes a paranoid fella with OCD and has only been driving for 4 months or so.. how long do pcns generally take? Cheers big time for any replies.

Unless a parking warden slapped one on his windscreen, I doubt he'll hear anything, you certainly wouldn't here.

In Manchester that certainly isn't the case.

I'll hazard a guess that the same cutoff applies for a PCN as it does in the case of a NIP so that is 14 days...

Should check out some areas of Spain.

I distinctly recall going through some seaside towns in the evening with streets of cars parked on lines with hazard lights on.

Generally it seemed they wanted a nice parking spot near a restaurant :D

Aye, hence the questions :D I've known a few for their entire trip from yr 7 to Sixth form so we're kind of friends. I'm an IT guy not a teacher. I started there when i was 23 so i've actually got a few drinking buddies who were 18ish at the time, who now are around 24 ish

Ah right. Your business I guess, but if I was anything at all to do with that school, I'd be expecting the **** to hit the fan about that first paragraph. You'd think that being the 'IT guy', you'd know better about safeguarding and all that, regardless of whether you're a teacher or not.

How so? I'm only on friendly terms with a few fellas who're 18+, so adult and sometimes we shoot the crap about motors, not like i'm tryin to chat up sixth form birds or anything mate. I don't go drinking or raving etc.. out of work with them, only talk at work. I've kept friends with the first set of 6th formers i worked with who are now in the 24-25ish range as i wasn't hugely older at the time, different now of course since i'm 29 in September.

From the Google Map map image the bus stop looks correctly marked on the road and has the required upright sign to diagram 974/975.

You might get a Reg 10 postal PCN by virtue of camera enforcement, under normal circumstances this must be issued not later than 28 days after the date of the alleged contravention, there are exceptions to this time limit.

I can't remember of the top of my head if Barnet's Reg 10 PCNs are compliant with the regulations, so if you do get one post it up and I'll take a look, remove the PCN number and VRN prior to posting.

There are a few other speculative lines of appeal that can be used if necessary if the PCN has no obvious issues.
