I have a 780ti classy. I had my RMA back from evga not too long ago maybe two weeks tops. Anyway i've been really busy since so I haven't had time to game or do anything with it other than install it and just do general pc stuff.

Now I've finally got the card in the loop I've started to play and got a pretty decent overclock out of it etc. The entire I noticed a strange noise when running heaven and 3d mark. It was only occurring under load. booted up dying light today to play for a bit and really picked up on the noise. Took my overclock off and it was quieter but still very audible.

Now I have no idea what coil whine actually sounds like, but I'm guessing this is what it is? Now the air coolers off the card I can also vaguely hear it a idle too. Don't really know how to describe the sound. But does the situation sound like coil whine?
 
Coil whine is something I've had with my 8800GTX's (sli), 560ti, 780 and now 980ti...

I honestly have NO idea how people avoid it or don't know about it. I've never not had it.
 
I've never had it up until this card. It's literally overpowering the noise from everything in my pc.

Looks like i might have to try and rma it. This'll be the third RMA in a year....
 
I think I have this with my new card,,never had it with my amd card or my 750 ti but I get like a high pitched rining noise when playing games with my gtx 960,,,it sort of comes and gos

Could be your psu?

I've never ever had coil whine in my life. The that noise in the video above is super annoying. That would do my head in. I feel for you guys:(
