. Looks like another full system disassembly is in order. It looks like you have the same block as me there, AM5 Velocity 2? Mine has gone like that in the same place and around the screw and O ring above too.I seem to get this with every EK product I buy, its strarting to do my head in to be honest, doesnt happen with any other water cooling component I buy, just EK products, this water block is only a month old and im getting rid of it, its not even in the water flow path, and im not using EK coolant, you can see it in my EK D5 pump res combo too.

shame it looks like corrosion on my end. No amount of cleaning could get it off. leaving it in warm soapy water for couple hours did nothing. vinegar also did nothing, so i will have to replace the gpu block and fully clean the rest of the system with blitz kit to reduce the chance of this happening again with new block![]()
will give this a tryTry citric acid. Can buy it from Amazon is cheap as chips.
Dissolves all rust/limescale etc.

Citric acid might actually
Dissolve the nickel plating off
Assuming it's nickel plated of course
Not necessarilyid think you would have to have some mega strong acid to dissolve the plating before the corrosion?

Yeah thought it mightso after reading around, citric acid could cause issues with plating. this is due to the acid being able to dissolve the nickel plating. while small it is very likely to cause more damage than good, so will pass on using citric acid![]()
