Possible CPU damage

Hi guys. My PC has recently died, the MoBo, GFX and PSU are all dead but I am unable to test the CPU (socket 939 AMD 64 3500+). Could it possibly damage my new Mobo if it is damaged?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Chances are that just one of the components have failed, I can't see it being all those you mentioned. My first thought is the PSU.


You need to eliminate those that are working, so start with the PSU. Check that the voltages are correct using a multi-meter or just plug in a fan and see if it works. If the PSU isn't working then nothings going to work so just simply replace the PSU.

It looks like it might have been the PSU that caused the damage, taking most of the components with it , Just trying to find out if the CPU survived. And if not if it could damage another Mobo.
