Possible CPU, RAM, MB upgrade?

I currently have a Q9550 @ 4Ghz, 8GB DDR2 RAM and an Asus P5Q motherboard. Have purchased an ATI HD6990, so am thinking of upgrading the rest.

No idea what price I would get from selling the CPU, RAM and MB - lets assume £150. Would then be willing to spend an extra £100-200 on top of this. What would be a reasonable upgrade from my current system (haven't looked at CPUs in a long time).

Would one of OcUKs OC'd bundles be worth a shot if I can't be bothered with the whole OCing thing anymore? Would this add much onto the cost?

Would I also be able to keep my H50 cooler?

You must know that price checks can only be done in the MM, as your TRUST shows you have bought/sold stuff?

But the main question is why upgrade? thats a killer system still.

If your H50 includes the Intel1156 bracket? then it can work with new Sandybridge stuff too.

Not looking for a price check, have ammended the wording to avoid confusion. I am just getting an upgrading bug at the moment. Is the system still really that good? I forgot to say, I mostly game...

should be able to get i5 2500k, and an x8/x8 crossfire mobo for that price, but as stulid says, levae the price checks for the members market

thats a stock speed Q9550 vs a stock speed 2500K, look at the game benchmarks at the bottom.

Yours is at 4GHZ, save the cash, wait for something else.

You make a good point. Will wait for a little while until something much better comes along.
