Possible damaged mobo?

When sending some defective RAM back to Corsair, their website suggested that I switch them around in their slots, to see if it's just one stick or two that's faulty.

I done so, but upon switching them, I didn't see the small wire from my CPU cooler (for changing the fan speed) and accidentally forced the wire in the RAM slot with the RAM.

My question is, would this have damaged the motherboard/processor/graphics card in any way?

If the wire is broken, eg you can see the inside, Don't turn it on and replace the wire. if not try it.. if everything works you were lucky!

if the wire is just bent and isnt broken itll be fine, if its broken apart id just not use that ram slot ever again and replace the wire.

Well, I decided to take the risk and try it anyway.

Thankfully everything seems to be working
