possible early upgrade time,spec me a phone

Hi all,

my contract runs out end of august.
been looking around at different phones and quite like the HTC wildfire or the samsung galaxy s.

was looking at the se experia mini 10 pro but decided not after some reviews and im looking abit more of a pratical phone!

I used to have the HTC touch hd but didnt really like it that much probably bcos it was windows!

things i would like out of a phone:

touch screen that im not gonna get annoyed with !! ( touch hd just seemed slow and unresponsive).
decent email app.
decent web browser.
battery life to last more than 1 day with fair usage.
satnav/ decent maps (please dont say google maps!) i want maps to actually guide me while on motorbike.

Think budget.
The Wildfire and the Galaxy S are different ends of the market.
One is a market beater and the other is a cheapo version of a market leader.

EDIT: I can't hear anything at all from my satnav on my bike, go for a map in a tankbag instead. (Mind you, maybe that's down to my unbaffled twin Akraps)

maybe what i should be asking then as they are 2 very different phones is,
is the wildfire good enough for everyday use and some? does it get slower the more i use and rubbish i put onto it ?!

is the galaxy s over kill for what i want?

for the most part all i do is talk on phone and text, i do like to check my emails and would like decent browser to check ocuk !!!!

satnav isnt just for motorbike really i do a lot of cycling to (seeing as im manager of cycle shop)
