Possible gpu - cpu combo

what games you play ? hoping to play games at decent settings the next 2 years or so ? i recently upgraded to a 9800x3d and 9070 xt
I want to be able to play all future games at really good resolution and frame rate for as long as possible. Trying to future proof really

what do I need to be looking for when buying RAM. There are so many options for 32gb, it becomes a bit confusing

Sorry should have asked how much you are willing to spend ? the 9800x3d is the best choice if it's just a gaming machine, 9070 xt graphics card is popular right now if you can get it at a decent price
Yeah I did first look at the 9800x3d but it seemed overkill for the 5070. My budget is probably maximum 1900-2000. The 9070 xt looks good but it is 700 compared to 5070 which is 550 on some sites

Anything 6000 C30 or close to it, on the motherboard's QVL is a bonus. If you're interested in so-called "future proofing" I'd suggest you get a 48GB or 64GB kit, unless the difference means you don't buy the X3D, in which case get the X3D and 32GB.

Note that the X3D is less memory sensitive than non-X3D CPUs, i.e. it doesn't care unless your RAM is reaaaaaaaally slow.
Will I notice a difference with 48gb compared to 32gb?

i think after some research I’m going for the amd 9070. My next question is how do I choose what brand to go for??

Do you mean Nvidia? (Though with recent drivers I'd honestly believe AMD started making them).

There's been a lot of publicity about power issues with the 5090, so you'll want to go with a brand that offers solid warranty support and ideally UK-based RMA. From memory Gigabyte has UK based support, but I'm not sure how good they are currently. You'll also need a high end PSU with similarly good warranty support (at least 1000w, Seasonic is a good brand).
Sorry I meant 9070
