Possible Home Network Needed

Hello,

I'm not hopeful about this being resolved - but I thought I'd give it a go. I think this is the right place, if not feel free to move it.

I have two pc's in the house. One has been in an RMA stage for a good few months and is unaccessible, due to it being a graphics card RMA.

There is a file on one of the computers that I sort of need - but as I don't have the replacement card, am reluctant to pay money for a replacement with the RMA on-going and can't swap the cards (as one is AGP and I need PCI-E) - I was wondering if I could link up the computers in some way that I could access the file?

Both computers are running XP Pro

The PC with the file I need is PCI-E. It doesn't have onboard graphics and I've already exercised the friend option.

To no success.

The file I need is on the desktop.

The hard drive with the file on it is SATA and the other computer is older and only has IDE.

Failing those, what is the absolute cheapest graphics card I could get, that would allow me access?
