As the title really. It won't be well until the new year (Black Ops 2, Nexus 4 and 10 to buy first!) but I could do with building one. The Tuner on my PS3's PlayTV is on its way out, and since I never actually game on the thing, I could replace the whole thing.

So, a HTPC that is low powered enough to keep turned on 24/7 as I would also use it for streaming to other devices in the house, and as a PVR. Would need a bluray drive in it too. I'd like to hook the whole thing up to my A/V receiver (5.1 but may upgrade to 7.1 down the line with a decent pair of fronts to match the rest).

Not looking for exact components or prices. Just a talk on what and how really. Would an Atom do it? They can be passively cooled well enough.

It does yea :) One less cable to worry about lol.

That looks a good setup, Though I prefere the Hudson purely as it is passively cooled. Like I said ages yet. :) I'd need a Freeview tuner in there, but both options leave room for that so a non-issue.

I have a PCI card in my rig but I used a USB TV dual tuner for my gfs rig when she went to uni, works just as well :)

I just dont like the idea of yet another cable behind my TV cabinet.

Which is daft, the AV has 10 alone lol.
