So looking to put something together for my parents to use with their TV for Amazon Prime Video, iPlayer, Sky Go etc, basic web browsing, nothing beyond that to save on having to get a laptop out, set it up etc whenever they want to use these with the TV which is just your average HD TV, not 4k or anything fancy.

Was looking at the following spec:

Intel NUC NUC5i5RYK Core i3-5010U "Rock Canyon" Broadwell Barebones Micro PC (Title is actually incorrect it's: NUC5i3RYK for the i3 version)

Kingston HyperX Impact Black Series 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L CL9 SODIMM Kit of 2 1.35V

Kingston 120GB SSDNow M.2 SATA 6Gbps

Potentially use the Windows 10 Insider Preview initially, or getting another copy of Windows 7 may just be simpler. Will also get a hdmi mini to hdmi cable.

So would the above be ok for the purpose? Anything else needed, or could do cheaper?

Also any suggestions on easily controlling it, initially thinking wireless keyboard and mouse as that's what they use with a laptop plugged into the TV currently. But I know some people use remotes for this kind of thing so if there are any easy to setup and relatively cheap solutions in that area I'd certainly take a look.

Thanks.

Ah the dreaded Sky Go ;)
Missed that, my apologies.

There is an Android App for Sky Go however and loads of good value Android TV boxes, such as the superb MINIX NEO X8-H Plus

If you are set on the NUC route, Logitech K400 is probably the most used keyboard with trackpad combo.

I've got the NUC5i5RYK, great little machine. Although I went with Crucial SSD and RAM, as I've never had an issue with Crucial.
